What I really enjoyed the most about my session with Kayla was that she focused on me as a person, and not just what my resume said about me. Her first objective was to find out what my interests, goals and dreams were, and if I was working in that field already. Once that was established, we then talked about jobs or career paths that lined up with those particular interests. After that, Kayla dived into the various parts of my resume that needed tweaking (i.e. editing, grammar, spacing), and highlighted points that would be “buzz” words for future HR employers.
