Kayla Butler is a consultant by day, dreamer by night and a self-proclaimed careerealist. Passionate about helping people excel in their careers, she started the Careerealist to provide the knowledge and resources she wished she had when starting her journey. With expertise ranging from the school of hard knocks to her own corporate career, Kayla is well rounded and relatable to diverse audiences. 

Kayla moved from New Orleans to Dallas to start her first full time position just two months after getting her undergraduate degree. Through that transition, she learned some of her most invaluable lessons about the major differences between the classroom and the corporate world.

Fast forward to today, she is a polished young professional working as an HR consultant for a large organization. She coaches employees on career strategies, facilitates training classes, and leads various organizational intiatives. Her broad  perspective and range of expertise are relevant for the recent college graduate to the seasoned professional. Kayla holds a BBA in Economics from Loyola University New Orleans and an MBA from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business.
